Inspired by the unique client requirement of a “more garden, less house” residence, we incorporated a generous courtyard at the heart of the 4000 SFT plot. This urban courtyard home plays with different volumes & levels to create an intimate connection with the garden that all the spaces look on to. The exterior façade is kept minimal using only straight lines and a horizontal rather than tall profile. An exterior wood-clad ceiling lends a sense of coziness in the outdoor deck, located atop the parking space. A massive 14’ height main door, sleek delicate metal windows & wooden louvers combine to create a tension between monumentality and lightness in the façade design.
